Guess who had some time for patchwork over the Easter break!
I selected a lovely country range. "Pumpkins & Spice" by Red Rooster and the pattern was a free download from Moda. This project can be pieced and quilted in a day. "Pumpkins & Spice" is a great range in creams, browns and greens. The green I chose for the inner border and binding is just that little bit brighter giving the runner the lift it needed.
Quilting is not one of my favourite things so i did some free motion squiggle "E's" and then echoed the setting and corner squares 1/2" apart. For smaller projects we have been using the cotton/poly blend basted wadding which irons-on both sides - Great Stuff - saves all that pinning.
