Hi Everyone, I can not believe Easter is just around the corner - the months just fly past. We have been busy with our classes, still some vacancies for the classes later in the year. If you are interested please enrol as we do have limited positions. Bev McClune has been very busy with her Machine Quilting workshops - the ladies have really enjoyed the workshops and hopefully are practicing at home.
We have settled nicely into our new shop, and I must say it is very nice to have the house back to ourselves - I am trying to have a few more days off this year - well we will see what happens!
If you haven’t visited Glenrose Patchwork for a while, pop in and see our new range of fabrics, patterns and books. Flannels have arrived ready for winter and we are just waiting on one other range to come in around May I hope! Sue and I will have a new flannel quilt made in the next few weeks - so keep an eye out for that one.
Guess who has finished her “Girls Day Out” Quilt - ME!!!!! Bev has quilted it for me, as I can never find enough time to quilt - plus I could never quilt it like she can. Make sure you have a peek at the quilt when you are in next. I have also finished a quilt for our grandson Lachlan who is now 4 months old - we are expecting two more grandchildren - one in June and one in October. Percy and I are so very excited, but I have to get moving and make two more quilts. Little Jack has started a new day care - school as he says and Jack loves his time with all his new friends. He told his father his school is much better than his school as they have more toys to play with. (Tony is a primary school teacher)
To the right: Percy (Botch) with Lachlan 4 months old.
Lachlan's quilt Nanny has made. I am a bit slow but winter isn't here yet!
Our Little Jack, who's now three!!
My Dear friends have been working very hard organizing the “Airing of the Quilts”. They have secured some wonderful prizes for the raffles and Viewers Choice Awards. Please consider entering a Quilt to help raise money for Breast Cancer - Our funds help put Breast Care Nurses in Country Hospitals....
I hope you are all keeping good health, and look forward to seeing you in the shop soon.
Happy Sewing!!
Glenis
